PLAIN-LANGUAGE POLICY

Effective July 18, 2026

Privacy & accuracy

The 1.0 privacy promise is simple: KeepCheck has no account and does not upload your purchase or emotion records.

What the iPhone app stores

KeepCheck stores item names, merchants, categories, prices, currencies, dates, optional feeling and buying-prompt tags, check-ins, decisions, notes, return details, and refund confirmations in its local SwiftData store. It has no advertising SDK, third-party analytics SDK, bank connection, email access, contacts access, location access, receipt photo/OCR, or iCloud sync in 1.0.

When data leaves the app

Your record leaves only after an explicit action: exporting all records as JSON or opening the iOS share sheet for a readable single-purchase summary and choosing a destination such as Notes. KeepCheck does not choose or monitor that destination. StoreKit purchases are processed by Apple.

Shared drafts, reminders, and widgets

The Share Extension temporarily holds only text or a URL you deliberately share and removes that draft after import. Local reminders are handled by iOS and omit feeling and price. A generic-reminder option is available.

Widgets use a protected, on-device snapshot for up to ten unresolved items. It contains only an ID, item name, formatted amount, deadline, and exact-time flag. Lock Screen layouts omit price. Merchant, feeling, buying prompt, note, source URL, and history are excluded.

Accuracy limits

KeepCheck records a return deadline supplied by you; it does not verify or guarantee a merchant policy. If you enter an exact cutoff, its time-zone identifier is preserved. Money is stored in integer minor units, different currencies are not silently combined, and only a refund amount you confirm as received counts as refunded.

This website

This is a static information and policy site, not a web version of KeepCheck. KeepCheck’s site code uses no forms, cookies, analytics, tracking pixels, browser storage, application API, or database. The hosting provider may process ordinary request metadata such as IP address, user agent, timestamp, and requested path to deliver and secure the site. The site never receives purchase records from the app.

Contacting support

The Support page provides a direct email link to the developer. Choosing it opens your own mail app; no message is sent unless you decide to send it. The developer and the relevant email providers then process the address, message, and attachments you provide for support. Do not include receipts, order numbers, payment details, or other sensitive purchase data.

Your controls

Use KeepCheck Settings to export or permanently delete local data. Removing a widget or changing iOS notification settings controls those system surfaces. After sharing an export, the destination’s own privacy and deletion controls apply.

Changes

This page will be updated before adding photos/OCR, cloud sync, analytics, crash reporting, another purchase processor, or support uploads. Privacy disclosures are reviewed against the shipping binary before every release.
